Nothing says “civilized society” quite like triggering a national crisis because a Black woman refuses to erase her own heritage on stolen land.
Nyadol Nyuon said she had no intention of assimilating, and somehow that became more offensive than the colonial history that made assimilation such a loaded demand in the first place.
She contributes to society. She has built a life there. But apparently, that is still not enough unless she also performs gratitude by becoming less visibly African. Funny how “multiculturalism” starts sounding a lot like “be yourself, but only in ways that make caucasians comfortable.”
US Officials Caught Influencing a Legislative Process In Bolivia: Why This Concerns You As An African
An official from the US embassy in Bolivia was recently caught attempting to interfere in a legislative process at the country’s parliament. A Bolivian lawmaker accused the official of attempting to financially induce other lawmakers to vote in a particular direction favoured by the US in a house resolution.
@Big_Mck examines why this sort of underhanded US pseudo-diplomacy is of particular concern to other populations across the Global South and particularly African populations in the age of Donald Trump and the return of open colonialism.
Malian Child Abused By Western-Backed Terrorists In Viral Video Now Living Free In A Liberated Kidal
In April 2026, a chilling video circulated online, showing a Mallian boy being physically assaulted by Western-backed terrorists for refusing to denounce his country’s revolutionary leadership. These terrorists had launched a series of coordinated attacks targeting several cities across Mali, primarily the towns of Kati, Kidal, Gao and Sevare. The attacks were swiftly foiled by the Malian Armed Forces (FAMa), and a campaign launched by Malian President General Assimi Goïta to liberate all cities still under terrorist control.
On October 7, this brave boy was reported safe, following the liberation of his town, Kidal, by FAMa. In this picture, he is seen in the arms of FAMa personnel, cloaked in the flag of the country he stood by in the face of a threat that would cripple most grownups.
As Mali’s revolutionary leadership continues to defend its sovereignty, its children and their future, the rest of Africa would do well to draw inspiration.
Zambia Signs $1.5 Billion Health Deal With US After Sovereignty Concerns Addressed
Zambia is set to become the latest African nation to sign a health deal with the US, under the so-called “America First Global Health Strategy”. The Southern African country had initially rejected this deal on sovereignty grounds. According to its Health Ministry, those concerns have now been addressed.
Zambia’s insistence on its sovereignty when dealing with the predatory West speaks to the political will of its current leadership. Sadly, this will is not shared by all of the at least 18 African countries that have signed similar health deals with the US so far.
Nigeria and Kenya, for instance, are on that list.
When Will Africa Start Treating Foreign Interference As A Serious Issue?
Across most of the world, foreign interference in local political decisions and processes is recognised as an existential threat to be attacked with the full range of a nation’s defensive capabilities. Africa however, seems to be the only place in the world where this awareness is completely lacking. Why is this?
The Spearhead’s Senior Reporter @big_mck examines this question in his latest analysis piece.
