In another testament to the importance of sovereignty, Burkina Faso is moving to achieve 70% electrification by 2030. On September 10, the country’s Council of Ministers allocated roughly $184 million to kick off this ambitious endeavor.
As of 2023 – one year after the people-backed revolution that saw the country sever ties with its former colonizer France – only 26% of Burkinabé had access to electricity. With the strides being taken by the country’s current, revolutionary leadership, that number is sure to skyrocket within the next decade.

Why Were Ghanaian Schoolchildren Bussed to an Isr*eli Film Festival?
While the Socialist Movement of Ghana protested the Isr*eli Film Festival in August 2026 in Accra, they were astounded by the sight of Ghanaian schoolchildren attending the event.
Kwesi Pratt, Jr (@kwesiprattjr), general secretary of @socialistmovementofghana, thinks it was an underhanded Isr*eli move to fill empty seats for an unpopular event.

Ghana Armed Forces Hand Over Accra-Kumasi Expressway Right-of-Way Ahead of Schedule
The Ghana Armed Forces’ 48 Engineer Regiment has successfully handed over the cleared 175.6-kilometer right-of-way for the new Accra-Kumasi Expressway to President John Mahama one week ahead of schedule.
Completed in just 19 weeks as part of the “Big Push” infrastructure programme, this milestone paves the way for a six-lane highway funded by taxpayer-generated funds, which is expected to reduce travel time between Ghana’s two largest cities from five to six hours down to roughly two.
Nigerian Legislators Boycott South Africa Over X*nophobic Attacks
South Africa’s isolation from the rest of Africa continues to worsen amid its latest “anti-imm*gration” wave. On September 11, Nigeria’s National Assembly directed legislators to suspend all official engagements with South Africa, in response to continued att*cks against Nigerians and other African nationals living in South Africa.
Only one geopolitical entity stands to benefit from Africa’s continued division.
And it is time the people of Africa rose above the petty grievances that this entity always exploits to weaponize them against their own Motherland.
French-Isr*eli Soldiers Sing France’s “Revolutionary” National Anthem While Perpetrating G*nocide In G*za
In October 2023, at the height of the latest escalation of Isr*el’s decades-long g*nocide against the P*lestinian people, a video surfaced of a group of French-Isr*eli soldiers singing the French national anthem, while helping Isr*el perpetrate its g*nocide.
Given the history of this national anthem, there is something very ironic about the above picture.
But given the history of France, there is nothing surprising about it.
