When government corruption and illicit financial flows are discussed in Africa, attention is always disproportionately focused on the well-known local faces and culprits, often with the explicit or implicit inferrence that these are problems originating from Africa, as against the western jurisdictions that often benefit from them.
A recent policy decision from the US Treasury Department should dispel this myth once and for all. Mckay Chukwu outlines what this policy is and what it means.

The Veil Of Western Hypocrisy Is Off
For generations, much of the Global South was taught to see the West as the moral authority on justice and international law, but from Palestine and the DR Congo to the Epstein files, the contradictions are becoming harder to ignore.

August 23: International Day For The Remembrance Of The Slave Trade And Its Abolition
On this International Day For The Remembrance Of The Slave Trade And Its Abolition, August 23, 2026, we remember.
We remember the 500 years of t*rror perpetrated against Africa by the West, the greatness in us that the West tried so desperately to erase, and the arrogant hypocrisy of the West today, as it refuses to take any real accountability, or make any real amends, for its crimes, yet continues to advertise itself as a “partner” of Africa.
We stand with those among us who fight for, and those around the world who support, our sovereign development.
The Transatlantic Slave Trade saw the kidnapping of some 12 and 20 million Africans from the Motherland by European criminals. Of those kidnapped, 20% would not survive the long, hellish voyage to the West. Those who did would be trafficked across the Western Hemisphere, and worked to death in order to build the West’s economies.
The United States of America and T*rrorism Are Inseparable
In Case You Missed It: The United States has long been accused of entanglements with groups such as ISIS and Al-Qaeda. This video compiles statements from U.S. and non-U.S. public officials admitting to creating and funding these terror groups. Effectively, this translates to a single conclusion that the dying U.S. empire and terrorism are inseparable.
