On this week’s episode of “Why Africans Should Never Take Anything The West Says Seriously”, France has accused Iran of meddling in its internal affairs and pushing “disinformation” into its information space in order to destabilize it.
This is the very same France that was kicked out of its 3 wealthiest former West African colonies for doing precisely this to them, and still hasn’t stopped.
This latest display of textbook Western hypocrisy comes as violent, anti-government protests continue to rock French cities, in response to worsening economic conditions. France’s economy took an immediate nosedive after Alliance of Sahel States (AES) members Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso chose to sever ties with it between 2021 and 2023.
Alors, tu fais moins le malin, France!
African Proverb Of The Week
The Kiro are an ethnic group in Sierra Leone, descended from freed African-American, Afro-Caribbean, and indigenous African slaves who settled in that part of West Africa. What does this proverb from their culture tell us?
The West has spent over 500 years proving to Africa that it does not have its best interests at heart. Yet today, so many of Africa’s people and leaders have still not gotten the memo. They continue to seek validation, success and “partnerships” in the West, and their continent continues to bleed.
The Africans finally wake up to the true, predatory nature of the West is the day they will finally be free.
Why Nigeria’s ‘Elites’ No Longer Need Nigerians
In this clip, Nigerian social commentator Sonma Oboke explores the concept of ‘Transnational Capital’ in the context of Africa’s pseudo-elite class, who exhibit behaviours that contradict what would appear to be their own national interest, because their entire economic base exists outside of Africa in western jurisdictions and neutral tax havens.
According to her, this phenomenon is a manifestation of neocolonialism, which Kwame Nkrumah warned about over 60 years ago - African national elites who have no sense of affiliation or loyalty to their countries because their money an their survival are not tied to those countries.
Do you agree with her assessment? Do you see evidence of Transnational Capital in your African country? Let us know in the comments.
Thomas Sankara: Why I Rejected Food Aid
In this video, Thomas Sankara, Burkina Faso’s first revolutionary president, explains why he rejected food aid, arguing that foreign aid traps developing countries into dependency on Western institutions.
According to Sankara, true liberation must begin with self-reliance, therefore rather than sacks of food, maize, or milk, “food aid” for instance, should come in the form of dams, tractors, fertilisers, ploughs, and watering cans, tools that empower people to produce their own food.
What you think about his stance?
US Missionary Accused Of Sexual Abuse in Haiti
In the latest testament to the West’s inherently predatory attitude towards Africans, another white American man has been arrested in Haiti for sexually abusing children under the cover of “missionary work”.
When will Africans finally believe what the white man has been showing us about himself for over 500 years?
