Ghana has taken a significant step toward boosting its industrial capacity with the groundbreaking of the 1,238-acre Afienya Industrial Park.
Designed to house over 120 enterprises across sectors like pharmaceuticals, automotive manufacturing, and textiles, the hub aims to reduce import reliance, expand domestic production, and position the country as a regional manufacturing leader.
Black People in the US Wealthier Than Whole African States?
The influential Instagram account, @askablkman, claims that Black people in the US are wealthier than whole African countries like South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania and Ghana using the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) metric.
This argument seems to be a talking point for the Foundational Black Americans (FBA) movement, whose quasi-religious founding myth is that Black people are indigenous to the Americas and ethnically distinct from Continental African and Caribbean populations.
The argument in the photograph is rooted in a misunderstanding of economics. As the Instagram page says, Black people “contribute” $2.8 trillion to the US economy. They do not own the supply chains for the consumer items they buy, and they are structurally unable to control even the consumer items they supposedly own, in what remains a settler-colony built on exploiting their free or cheap labour and commoditising their lives.
Historically, whenever Black people in the US have built entire neighborhoods and cities filled with their businesses and institutions, it never takes long for the white settler majority population to turn on them. This was the case in 1919 during the Red Summer, when white riots hit 3 dozen US cities over jobs competition; in 1921 in Tulsa, Oklahoma; and in 1923 in Rosewood, Florida. Why wouldn’t this happen again?
Moreover, GDP measures the nominal value of goods and services produced in a country annually. It does not quantify the people’s standard of living. That is why China ranks first in terms of purchasing parity GDP, which measures how much you can buy with each yuan, while the US retains top place in the nominal GDP ranking, which measures the total dollar value of goods and services in circulation, regardless of how much one can actually buy with a dollar. As we know, the cost of living has skyrocketed in the US due to its hyperinflated real estate bubble, which promises a worse repeat of the 2008 financial crisis when it eventually bursts. African countries offering an affordable good life include Egypt, Algeria and Kenya, according to a cost-of-living ranking by international money-transfer platform Wise.com.

Jason Arday vs. Lola Salem: British Media Continues To Expose Its Racism
Between July and August 2026, British media published 249 scathing articles about Ghanaian-British scholar Dr. Jason Arday, based solely on false allegations of plagiarism made against him. The media onslaught ended with Arday tragically taking his own life on August 14.
When another Cambridge professor, one William O’Reilly, was found in 2023 to have actually committed plagiarism, British media was notably silent.
Nor did this same media have much to say when Oxford professor Lola Salem was charged this June with possessing child sexual abuse material.
The reason for this double-standard is as obvious as it is chilling, and holds an important lesson for Africans who still seek validation and success in the West.
African Banks Turn to China’s CIPS, Expanding Yuan-Based Trade
African financial institutions are increasingly turning to China’s Cross-Border Interbank Payment System (CIPS) to facilitate direct yuan-based trade and settlement. With major players like Ecobank, Bank of Kigali, and Standard Bank joining the network, the continent is diversifying its payment channels, deepening economic ties with China, and reducing its reliance on the US dollar for international transactions.
Eritrea Dismisses UK’s Visa Ban Threat
The UK has threatened a visa ban against one of Africa’s few sovereign nations, as other Western powers use regional proxies to intensify their aggressions against this nation.
Because when it comes to keeping Africa down by any means necessary, all Western entities are the same Western entity.
