The myth of Western political superiority lies in tatters. While the narrative often insists that political theatre - the rented crowds, the manufactured enthusiasm- is an exclusively African dysfunction, the reality is far more damning. When Donald Trump lets slip that his “Front Row Joes” are a paid performance, he exposes a system built on the very hypocrisy it projects onto our continent.
It is time to stop mirroring these failing Western models. Africa must look inward, cultivate its own political and moral integrity, and forge a path rooted in its own reality.

We’re Rebuilding the Military So Future Generations Don’t Face T*rrorism
As Burkina Faso President Ibrahim Traoré lauded the 25th graduating class of student-officers (or cadets) on 26 July at the Georges-Namoano Military Academy (AMGN), he proclaimed that the country is rebuilding its military capacity so that future Burkinabè won’t have to deal with foreign-backed t*rrorism.
The 2011 US-led NATO invasion of Libya flooded the Sahel with arms and militants, turning the more than 3-million-square-kilometre African region into the world’s ‘epicentre of t*rrorism’ by 2022, according to the Institute for Economics and Peace’s Global T*rrorism Index.

Burkina Faso Inaugurates Pô Kapro Dam To Boost Food Sovereignty
Burkina Faso is forging ahead on its path to food sovereignty. The latest milestone came on July 25, 2026, where Burkinabé President Captain Ibrahim Traoré inaugurated the 1.1 million cubic-meter-capacity Pô Kapro Dam, located in the country’s Nazinon region.
This dam will provide more reliable water supply for Burkinabé farmers, boosting agriculture and living standards.
