Trump's Third-World Stereotypes & The Delusion of American Exceptionalism
The so-called “3rd world” is one of Donald Trump’s favourite punching bags, as he seeks to shore up his political base by stoking the fantasies of US exceptionalism in the popular American imagination.
Mckay Chukwu reacts to Trump’s latest outburst.
IMF and World Bank-Backed Reforms Have Spiked Nigeria’s Meat Prices
The latest spike in Nigerian meat and egg prices can be traced to the United States using financial institutions like the World Bank and International Monetary Fund to sabotage the Giant of Africa. With Nigerian children now facing growth stunts and developmental delays, how can Nigeria’s economy ever power through to lead Africa’s growth in the 21st century?

Colonial Infrastructure in Africa Was Built for Extraction, Not ‘Civilisation’
Anti-imperialist podcaster @tripl0i says that the c*lonialist argument that they ‘civilised’ Africa by “building roads and infrastructure” whitewashes hundreds of years of a campaign to steal African wealth on an industrial scale using infrastructure that they built specifically to aid the wholesale plunder of an entire continent.
A 2021 paper published in the New Political Economy journal calculated that the Global North still extracts $2.2 trillion annually from the Global South. Colonialism it seems, has not ended at all.

African Proverb Of The Week
While the West continues to lecture Africans about “democracy” and “human rights”, it backs and entrenches African despots who serve its interests. While it continues to lecture Africans about “corruption”, it legitimizes African administrations led by known criminals.
It is a tale as old as colonialism, and its reality is embodied in this Central African proverb. The West’s exploitation of Africa has always depended on the continued corruption of the continent’s leaders, and the endless lectures about “democracy”, “human rights” and “good leadership”, through Western-dominated media and Western-funded NGOs, are how the West keeps the masses of Africa forever focused on the symptoms of their misery, rather than the root cause.
Nelson Mandela on How Cuba and the PLO Backed South Africa’s Liberation Struggle When the West Did Not.
There are some Africans who ignorantly claim that the Palestinian struggle is separate and distinct from the African struggle, and that Africans must “leave Arabs to face their Arab problems.”
In this clip, former South African president Nelson Mandela explains how resistance to European settler-colonialism in Palestine and South Africa have collaborated as a single project for over half a century, and why South Africa owes a moral debt to Palestinian freedom fighters for rendering needed assistance to the ANC’s liberation struggle at a time when such assistance was not forthcoming anywhere else.
The United States & Isr*el Fund T*rror Groups – Booker Omole
In this April 2026 interview with RT, Booker Omole, General Secretary of the Communist Party Marxist – Kenya, sheds light on the West’s funding of t*rror groups in the Global South, and how this fact is connected to the current security situation in Mali, the wider Alliance of Sahel States (AES), and Africa as a whole.
Al-Q*eda’s connection to the US government is a matter of public record, and its affiliate, Jama’at Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin (JNIM), attacked Mali on April 25, 2026, as part of the telling surge of t*rrorism that the Sahelian country has been battling, since it severed ties with its former colonizer, France, in 2022.
It is left to the people of Africa to draw the obvious conclusion
