8 months after US President Donald Trump brokered a “peace deal” between the DRC and Rwanda, peace in the Congo is nowhere in sight. Yet the US is presently staking its claim on the Central African country’s critical minerals, and stands to make a fortune.
So what deal was actually brokered in December 2025? And why must external entities like the US always intervene in Africa? Why can’t Africa’s problems be solved by its own leaders?
The answer is staring us all right in the face, and laughing.

Sudan: 2-Year Curfew Lifted In Khartoum As Peace Slowly Returns
A 2-year curfew and state of emergency have just been lifted in Sudan’s capital, Khartoum, as peace slowly returns to the city, and rising global awareness continues to discourage the external forces that plunged the entire country into its latest humanitarian crisis in 2023.
The externally-fueled proxy war in Sudan officially entered its fourth year this April 2026. Ghana Moves To Establish Itself As A West African Energy Hub
Ghana is moving to establish itself as a West African energy hub. On August 19, the Ghanaian Ministry of Energy announced the government’s plans to set up a gas-for-power energy deal with Nigeria, in which the latter will supply Ghana from its vast natural gas reserves, and get electricity in return.
This move will boost energy wealth for and deepen intra-African cooperation between both countries.

White Police Officers K*ll Another Black Man In The U.S.
Many Africans dream of heading to the Global North to obtain an education and make their riches. Yet, our cousins who are the descendants of enslaved Africans face g*nocide, as we see in the most recent police k*lling of Cory Durell Ruiz on 22 July in Madison, Wisconsin.
This is how the community reacted to yet another Black person lost to the centuries-long g*nocide against Africans in the US.
Does this deter you from moving to the US and encourage you to build on the continent? Drop us a comment.
